GamerGod: Does armor and equipment simply add a number to your defense value (such as in EQ, FFXI, etc) or will each piece of armor individually guard a certain part of your body (as in SWG)? Also, will shields be used to actually absorb or block damage, or will it just add to that player\'s overall \'armor value\'?
Stephane: Armour parts have two effects. A classic general AC is added to the whole armour. However, hits are located on the body, and if there is no piece of armour on this part of the body, the global AC is decreased.
Shields also have a double effect. They add to global AC value, but also have a chance to defend against missile attacks before other calculations are made. Every section of armour wears out regarding hit power and location.
I also add that players won\'t have the possibility to aim at a specific part of their opponent\'s body. This is automatically calculated thanks to the size of the opponents.
